From time-to-time, the Domus Sanctae Mariae Guadalupe offers special pilgrimages to Rome for our members and their sisters. Several pilgrimages are planned for the Year of Mercy, which closes on November 20, 2016.
Canonization of Mother Teresa
August 30 – September 10
Highlights of the pilgrimage include attendance at the Canonization of Mother Teresa, a guided tour of the Tomb of St. Peter and of the necropolis under the Basilica of St. Peter, passing through the Holy Doors of the four papal and three minor basilicas thereby gaining plenary indulgences during this Year of Mercy, and one day in Assisi, the beautiful hill town in the Region of Umbria and the birthplace of St. Francis.
The cost of staying at the Domus and the Domus Program is $1,500.00 and does not include airfare or non-Domus events.
Shorter Stay Option
August 30 – September 6
If you are able to spend only a few days of pilgrimage at the start of a new semester, consider coming to Rome for Mother Teresa’s canonization and for visits to the Basilicas with Holy Doors for six days.
