The Congregation of the Norbertine Sisters was originally founded in 1902 in the Czech Republic by Fr. Vojtech Frejka, a Norbertine Father from the abbey of Strahov in Prague. In the spirit of St. Norbert, we are “prepared for every good work” by living deeply our common life which is centered daily on the Divine Sacrifice of the Eucharist and the chanting of the Divine Office, thus invoking God’s choicest blessings on all the people whom we are called to serve. Here in California, we live our mission through ministering to needy families, teaching religious education, working in the Catholic book & gift store, and in the parish office.

In imitation of the glorious Virgin Mary, we joyfully offer our virginity to God as we strive to live the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. And all this in the context of a community life marked above all by great charity and zeal for the salvation of souls.
