Our principal mission is to give witness to Christ through our consecrated life lived in community.  As an active apostolic congregation, we embrace the mission entrusted to us by Christ:  to go out to all the world and bring the good news—love, justice, peace.  It is a great grace that God should permit us to assist in the spread of his kingdom.  (Mother Pauline, 1877)—SCC Constitutions, Article 32

Our characteristic spirit of youthful joyousness gives us strength, courage, and readiness for our works of love.  (Mother Pauline, 1849)  Our Congregation strives to bring Christ’s light to our various ministries in which the poor of any kind experience our special love and attention.  Whatever our ministry, it is to be rooted in a distinctive charity that is the fruit of a contemplative,  Eucharistic lifestyle.  My hands at work; my heart with God. (Mother Pauline, 1880)

Ministry is a work of faith that is supported and fostered by a loving community.  We are ready to go wherever we are sent and fulfill whatever assignment is given to us.  In all the stages of life, we joyfully and perseveringly accept the challenge of working with Christ in building up the kingdom—even in the face of difficulties.  Results cannot be judged by purely human standards.  We sow faithfully, not concerned about then the harvest will be ready or by whose hands the reaping will be done.—SCC Constitutions, Article 33

Education:  We serve as teachers (pre-school through college), administrators, directors of religious education, librarians, guidance counselors, instructional aides, parish minister and youth ministers.

Health Care

We serve the sick as administrators, nurses, technicians, therapists, dieticians, and pastoral ministers in our hospitals and nursing care facilities.

Supportive of our apostolates, our Sisters currently engaged in homemaking add another dimension of service to our local communities and provide a source of charitable outreach within parish life.

Retreat Work:

We serve in Community sponsored retreat facilities.  Days of recollection, retreat weekends, programs of a spiritual nature, and various retreat are offered.
