Lovers of the Holy Cross of Go Vap

The Lovers of the Holy Cross of Go Vap of Viet Nam was founded by Mission Bishop Piere Lambert de la Motte in 1670 to assist the missionaries in the evangelization of Southeast Asia. The purpose and mission are “to know, love and offer oneself totally to Jesus Christ by diligently contemplating, remembering, and imitating His sacrificial life on earth,” and “continue His salvific mission through works of intercession in house prayers and in daily life” (Constitution 3 and 4).

They vow to follow the footstep of Lord Jesus Christ through a life of praying, sacrificing, and serving local Church, especially the poor, the needy, women, and children in areas of faith, morality, education, medical health, culture and social works.

The sisters serve in different dioceses in Vietnam, Rome, Germany and the United States. In the United States, we serve in Archdiocese of Seattle in Washington, Diocese of Bridgeport in Connecticut and Diocese of Las Vegas in Nevada.
